Join bestselling children’s author Lynne Rickards on a tour of iconic Scottish wildlife. Lynne will take your little ones on a tour of iconic Scottish wildlife through some of her stories; from puffins to wildcats, and her latest book Rory the Little Red Deer. Suitable for ages 7 and under. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and both children and adults require a ticket. Babes in arms (under 1 year) are free. Select a 'plus book' ticket to pre-order a copy of Rory the Little Red Deer for collection at the Scottish Storytelling Centre on Saturday 3 October. Part of the Scottish Wildlife Trust's Words of the Wild Book Festival, 29 Sep - 3 Oct 2026. Join us throughout the day for more author talks as well as workshops, family-friendly activities and book signings. For a full list of events visit scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk. Our event will take place in the Scottish Storytelling Centre's Netherbow Theatre. Seating is unreserved. The Scottish Storytelling Centre is fully wheelchair accessible, with lift access.
