Catalysing Connections

You're invited to join us at the next Catalysing Connections - a quarterly event that brings together inspiring people who are developing ideas, building communities and instigating positive change.

Catalysing Connections has been bringing people together in Edinburgh since 2022 and is rooted in the values of collaboration, community and learning.

How the evening works

Food and Informal Connections (5.30pm)

Those who would like to are invited to arrive early to share a simple supper of homemade soup, bread and cheese.

Guided Introductions (6pm)

We begin with a short period of lightly facilitated networking designed to help people meet others in the room and start meaningful conversations.

The Catalysts (6.30pm)

At the heart of each gathering are two or three participants who share a project, idea or challenge they are currently exploring. The group then works together to offer feedback, explore collaborations and help move the idea forward.

Open Space (7.30pm)

The evening concludes with informal conversation and the chance to continue discussions sparked during the session.

We're growing Catalysing Connections into a frank, inspiring and inclusive community - and a force for good. We warmly welcome suggestions and feedback from everyone who takes part.

Tickets are £10 to help cover costs. If the cost presents a barrier to participation, please let us know as we have a small number of complimentary tickets available.

Catalysing Connections is organised by Eileen Inglis and Lynn Houmdi

Eileen Inglis supports social entrepreneurs and student founders to develop ideas that create positive social change. She is passionate about building meaningful networks and is currently developing The Conversation Project, a social experience designed to spark meaningful conversations.

Lynn Houmdi is a social entrepreneur, creator of Making Work Work – for Women Returners, founder of Flexible Working Scotland, and Scotland’s Flex Influencer 2022. She is a passionate networker who believes strong communities can solve many of our modern challenges.
