Edinburgh five-piece Bikini Body bring their irresistible collision of post-punk, dance music and percussion.

Dancier than punk and punkier than dance, Bikini Body are Edinburgh’s electrifying five-piece and, in their own words, “your favourite DJ’s favourite punk band”.

Drawing inspiration from the no-wave and dance-punk sounds of ESG and Liquid Liquid, alongside the energy of Squid, Warmduscher and Viagra Boys, Bikini Body pair wiry, percussive grooves with a confrontational vocal style rooted in The Slits, Bush Tetras and X-Ray Spex.

Released through Glasgow institution Optimo Music, their music has earned airplay across BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio 1, KEXP and NTS. Their growing live reputation has taken them from a 13-date UK tour and a packed headline show at The Windmill in Brixton to Manchester Psych Fest, Hidden Door, Edinburgh Psych Fest and European festival appearances in Barcelona and Rotterdam.
