The programme brings together light-hearted madrigals, chansons, and part songs from 16th-century France, England, and Italy, with music by composers including Claudin de Sermisy, Pierre Attaignant, Thomas Morley, Thomas Tomkins, Luca Marenzio, and Claudio Monteverdi.

Performed one voice to a part, these works capture the wit, warmth, and expressive beauty of Renaissance secular music—from playful courtship and birdsong to the joys of spring and the many shades of love.
