Northwich Pride Weaving Workshop | Radiate Arts

Join us in Northwich for a welcoming LGBTQ+ Beginner Weaving Workshop.

This session offers a calm, supportive space to explore weaving as a creative and expressive practice, using colour, texture and material play.

We will begin with a simple introduction to basic weaving techniques before moving into hands-on making. Participants will work with a range of fabrics, yarns and recycled materials, with plenty of time to experiment and develop their own approach. No previous experience is needed, and you do not need to consider yourself “artistic” to take part.

The workshop is open to LGBTQ+ participants, if you would like to bring along a friend for support please book 2 spaces.

Refreshments are available during the session, and participants are welcome to take breaks as needed. Materials and equipment are fully provided, and support is on hand throughout the workshop.

You will leave with a small woven piece and simple techniques you can continue to explore at home, along with ideas for developing your own creative practice in your own time.

Large-print materials can be provided on request, and facilitators will read instructions aloud and provide verbal descriptions throughout activities.
