MOVE FOR MENTAL HEALTH 💚
National Fitness Day | Saturday 19th September | 9.30am–11am
📍 Maldon Promenade Park - by Mrs Salisburys
Come along, move your body, have some fun and help us raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention. 💚
In light of World Suicide Prevention Day on 10th September, this National Fitness Day event is all about bringing our local community together to start conversations, raise awareness and show that no one has to struggle alone.
We’ll be supporting local suicide prevention charity Reach Out for Mental Health, helping shine a light on the incredible work they do within our community.
🏃♀️ FREE 45 MIN COMMUNITY WORKOUT — 9:45AM
I'll be hosting a FREE bodyweight strength based workout at 9:30am, and EVERYONE is welcome!
Whether you're a regular gym-goer, completely new to exercise, or somewhere in between — come and join us.
The workout will be:
💚 Completely free
🙌 Inclusive and beginner-friendly
🔄 Adaptable to different abilities and fitness levels
🎶 Set to music with plenty of fun vibes
👟 Focused on moving, connecting and enjoying yourself
There is no pressure to be the fittest, fastest or strongest. Come as you are, do what feels right for you and enjoy being part of the community. No mats will be provided, so please feel free to bring your own along.
The more the merrier! Kids welcome. Dogs welcome. Everyone is welcome.
☕️ POST-WORKOUT GOODIES
Because what's a workout without a little treat afterwards?!
We'll have some amazing local businesses joining us, including:
🧁 Meg's Bakes — providing delicious sweet treats and cakes to enjoy after the workout.
🧊☕️ Iced coffees & iced matcha — because we all deserve a little post-workout pick-me-up!
And hopefully a few more goodies and surprises along the way. 👀
💚 WHY WE'RE DOING THIS
This event isn't about how many calories you burn or how far you can run.
It's about community. Connection. Conversation.
We want to use the power of movement to bring people together and raise awareness of suicide prevention and mental health support within our local community.
We will also be raising funds for Reach Out for Mental Health, but please don't let that put you off coming along.
You don't need to donate to attend.
You don't need to be super fit.
You don't need to know anyone.
And you definitely don't need to have everything figured out.
Just come along, move with us, grab a coffee, enjoy a treat and support the movement for mental health. 💚
🌱 LET'S MOVE FOR MENTAL HEALTH
Sometimes a workout can be more than a workout.
Sometimes it's getting outside.
Sometimes it's meeting someone new.
Sometimes it's having a laugh.
Sometimes it's starting a conversation.
Sometimes it's simply reminding yourself that you're part of something.
So grab a friend, bring your family, come solo — and join us at Maldon Promenade Park on Saturday 19th September.
9.30am–11am | FREE EVENT | WORKOUT AT 9:45AM
