Join Behind the Door Productions for ‘An Evening of Ghost Stories’ at Island Hall.
Toby Burchell will perform two chilling tales by the finest writers of the ghost story genre. Originally narrated as entertainments for friends, these are the perfect traditional ghost stories.
ACT 1
In Charles Dickens’ classic ghost story, ‘The Signalman’, we follow a railway signalman who keeps watch over a damp, and gloomy railway cutting. Upon questioning, he reveals that he has been haunted by spectral warnings of impending train disasters.
ACT 2
In Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s ‘Lot No. 249’, we follow Abercrombie Smith, a student who investigates a series of supernatural occurrences linked to his neighbour, Edward Bellingham. Edward, an Oxford student, holds possession of an ancient Egyptian mummy which he appears to have been using to stalk his enemies.
By booking promptly, you can join other like-minded people to enjoy the house by atmospheric candlelight and experience a seasonal scare.
Capacity is strictly limited to 40 guests.
