A Talk on 13 Brunswick Square, Brighton, now known as The Regency Town House
13 Brunswick Square is now known as The Regency Town House, a local heritage site that’s focused on Brighton’s architectural legacy. Throughout its functional life as a fashionable seaside home, the property accommodated many who strolled along the promenade and visited Brighton’s piers. This presentation introduces a number of former residents and considers their daily schedules.
SPEAKER: Nick Tyson conceived of the Town House project over forty years ago and for more than three decades has been its Curator.
IMAGE: Front cover from Bernard Darwin’s 1935 work, John Gully and his times.
Caption: John Gully, bare-knuckle boxer, one of No. 13’s more flamboyant former residents.
