Exploring Care Through Yoga & Clay
Join us for an afternoon of gentle yoga, creative reflection and meaningful connection in the beautiful surroundings of Haworth's historic Old School Room.
This unique workshop combines a heart-centred yoga practice with a guided reflective clay session, inviting you to explore the theme of care through both movement and making.
Hosted by Susie Delves (BWY Yoga Teacher) and Simge Vurtak (ceramic artist and arts facilitator), the afternoon offers space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and reflect on what care means in your life.
Through gentle yoga, you'll be invited to release tension, tune into your body and create space for reflection. Following a short break, Simge will guide participants through a hands-on clay workshop using carefully designed prompts exploring care, relationships, support, vulnerability and connection.
No previous yoga or clay experience is needed. This afternoon is designed as a journey through both body and mind.
Through gentle yoga, you'll be invited to soften, slow down and create space for reflection. Through clay, you'll explore the theme of care in a tactile and creative way, using simple prompts that encourage curiosity rather than artistic skill. Participants often leave feeling more grounded, connected and aware of themselves through the combined experience of movement, reflection and making.
Set within the atmospheric Haworth School Rooms, where the Brontë sisters once taught, the afternoon will also include a few literary touches inspired by Haworth's rich cultural heritage.
