Equip Spring North members to strengthen EDI practice through legislation, bias awareness, inclusive approaches and culture‑building.

Delivered as part of Spring North’s member training programme, this in‑person EDI workshop supports VCFSE staff, volunteers and trustees to strengthen inclusive practice across their organisations. Participants will explore key equality legislation, unconscious bias, and the practical steps needed to create welcoming, equitable and culturally aware environments for diverse communities.

The session includes real‑world examples, reflective activities and practical tools to help organisations recognise barriers, challenge bias and embed inclusive approaches into everyday service delivery. Attendees will also learn how to develop and sustain inclusive organisational cultures that support staff, volunteers and the people they serve.

Members will leave with a clearer understanding of their responsibilities, improved confidence in applying EDI principles, and practical actions to build fairer, more inclusive and community‑focused services.
