You’re invited to join one of the National Trust’s regional curators, Claire Reed for a 45-minute talk exploring the discoveries made and secrets under the surface of the painting: ‘Stourhead in its Infancy’. The painting has long been thought to be the first depiction of the world-famous garden.

The evening starts with a welcoming glass of Prosecco or non-alcoholic sparkling alternative, before heading into the impressive Picture Gallery for the talk. After the 45-minute talk there will be time for questions followed by a private view of Stourhead’s current exhibition, The Secret Lives of Paintings, accompanied by its curator.
