MCA Small Ships Electronic Chart System and Bridge Watchkeeping
This is a practical, hands on course using our full mission bridge simulator for radar and electronic chart systems . Exercises will simulate real watchkeeping scenarios which can be applied to the coastal sea area.
There is no formal exam during the course, but students must demonstrate good navigational practice which will be assessed during the bridge simulator exercises.
Successful students will obtain MCA certification enabling them to meet the requirements of the Workboat Code, Appendix 2, related to the operational use of Radar.
